Initial Consultation

Let's See If We're
a Good Fit

Not sure where to start? Feeling nervous about reaching out? That's completely normal. I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you have about the process, and determine if we're a good match.
This is a no-pressure conversation. You're not committing to anything - you're just exploring your options. Think of it as a chance to get a feel for my approach and see if it resonates with you.

What I Treat

I specialize in working with adults facing a range of mental health challenges. Here are some of the most common concerns I help clients navigate:

Trauma & PTSD

Trauma doesn't just live in your memories - it lives in your body, your relationships, and the way you move through the world. Whether you've experienced a single traumatic event or ongoing trauma, I provide a safe, compassionate space for healing at your own pace.

I'm trained in EMDR and IFS, both highly effective approaches for processing traumatic memories and reducing their emotional charge.

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

  • Complex trauma (C-PTSD)

  • Childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)

  • Sexual assault and domestic violence

  • Grief and traumatic loss

  • Accident or medical trauma

  • Spiritual Abuse/Religious Trauma

Anxiety & Stress

Racing thoughts. Constant worry. Physical tension that won't let up. Anxiety can feel all-consuming, but it doesn't have to control your life. Using IFS, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, we'll work together to understand your anxiety patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and develop practical tools to manage stress. Often, anxiety is linked to the trauma in our stories; as we reprocess traumatic memories, anxiety is often reduced as a result.

  • Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

  • Panic attacks and panic disorder

  • Social anxiety

  • Health anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Work-related stress and burnout

Life Transitions

Even positive changes can be stressful. Whether you're navigating a career shift, a relationship ending, a move, or a major identity transition, I can help you process the uncertainty, clarify your values, and move forward with confidence.

  • Career changes or job loss

  • Relationship endings (divorce, breakups)

  • Relocation or major moves

  • Identity exploration and shifts

  • Becoming a parent or empty nesting

  • Aging and life stage transitions

  • Loss and grief

Church Hurt & Spiritual Trauma

"The damage done through abuse is awful and heinous, but minor compared to the dynamics that distort the victim’s relationship with God and rob her of the joy of loving and being loved by others.”
― Dan B. Allender

One of the most heinous elements of spiritual abuse is that it distorts how we view ourselves, how we view ourselves, and it leaves us with a damaging image of who God is and what he thinks about us which robs us of the hope and meaning that can be found in a healthy and safe spiritual community.

Addiction

Addiction is often the result of trauma. Traditional addiction therapy helps to establish sobriety with whatever substance or behavior is unwanted. My specialty is helping clients with the trauma work which helps to deal with the wounds that we are often working hard to soothe with our addictions. This increases the chance of lasting change and freedom. Many of my clients are also in sobriety groups and programs which help with their sobriety, while we focus on healing the wounds of the past in our individual sessions.
