Hello, my name is Locker McDonald. I am an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of John Thorington MA, LPC-S, SRT, Dmin in Huntsville, AL. I’m passionate about helping adults learn about how their past is impacting their present. Symptoms like anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction are so often the result of stories of wounding. My approach is person centered and trauma-informed. I have years of experience working with survivors of Complex-PTSD and extensive training in modalities such as EMDR, and IFS--which equip me for exploring the stories of individuals and give them tools for healing, growth, and self-discovery. As a Christian, I am comfortable integrating elements of the Christian faith into the therapeutic process for those who prefer. However, as someone who is acquainted with the gravity and complexity of spiritual abuse, I respect the client's spirituality, faith, and or beliefs.
